Supervision Services

I can provide individual clinical supervision to a practitioner working toward licensure — or a practitioner simply in need of consultation. We will discuss recordings and/or your self-reports of any/all of the clients with which you are working.  These meetings will count toward documented supervision meetings.  The frequency of these meetings will depend on your goals.  For example, counselors working toward licensure in Pennsylvania need to have two hours of supervision for every forty hours of experience (one hour can be individual, one hour can be group supervision).  If you are working full-time (and all of these hours count toward licensure), then we will need to meet once a week.

Since every state has different licensing guidelines, it will be your responsibility to ensure that this supervision meets your necessary local guidelines. The guidelines for Pennsylvania can be found here: PA Board for Licensed Professional Counselors

Melissa D. Michel, LPC is commited to providing Clinical Supervision that upholds the Code of Ethics as defined by the STATE BOARD OF SOCIAL WORKERS, MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPISTS AND PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS. As a Supervisor, Melissa is dedicated to facilitating in the professional and personal development of an intern and promoting counselor competencies by offering accountable counseling services and programs.

 Clinical Supervision rates are $75 per supervision hour.  This fee includes the following:

• Weekly face-to-face supervision

• Feedback and guidance on counseling techniques, diagnosis, assessments, ethics, and application of theories

• In-Depth Training on case notes/treatment planning/documentation to ensure ethical compliance

• Access to office space
